STATEMENT BY MR BRIAN COWEN T.D., PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
06/02/2004
On behalf of the Presidency of the European Union, I wish to express our deepest sympathy to the Russian authorities and people following what appears to be an appalling act of terrorism that occurred this morning in Moscow and which has claimed so many lives. Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased and maimed at this tragic and distressing time.
The Minister added “I condemn this atrocious act in the strongest possible terms. We are deeply saddened that so many people have been the victims of such violence and hope for the recovery of all the people who have been injured”.
